Appearing“His name is Roxas!”Roxas made his debut in the sequel, Kingdom Hearts II. He plays a role of being a normal teenage boy in Twilight Town spending the last week of summer vacation with his best friends until everything begins to fall apart. Roxas slowly begins to find out who he truly was in a course of six days; but this wasn’t his first appearance in the game. This was just his actual introduction of who he truly was.
The first game of Kingdom Hearts, you must lock every world’s keyhole (this includes Hundred Acre Woods), retrieve all 101 puppies, and defeat the Hades Cup. Sounds like a lot of work, but will definitely pay off after you defeat the game, because then you can see the secret ending; Another Side, Another Story. This is Roxas’ first actual debut in the series. He fights the heartless with ease in the dark world, where even Riku appears. Flashes of the seventh princess of heart, Kairi, appears on the screens of the building as Roxas uses his two Keyblades to put a swift, yet graceful end to the heartless. If you ever get a hold of the Japanese release, Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix; yet again you have another secret ending entitled, Deep Dive. There you will see Roxas and Riku work together fighting the heartless and Sora (unconsciously) flying across the black ocean. More mysterious words flash through the screen, leaving us players with many questions. During Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, cards are used to unlock worlds as you encounter the past. Defeating Sora’s story will open up another side story: Reverse/Rebirth, featuring the infamous Riku as your protagonist. When defeating his story, you will finally have a chance to obtain the Ultima Weapon for Sora, but you will see another mini scene. Another brief appearance is made by Roxas, but this time they actually show his face. Through many picture clips, you see him walk closer to the edge of the clock tower facing the sunset with a smile in Twilight Town.
Roxas has appeared in all the Kingdom Hearts, whether it be a secret ending, or as a playable character. He is a vital part to the story. Another appearance would be the Japanese-release-only "Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix." If you do get a chance to get a hold of it, you see a lot more Roxas screen time too. But if you manage to defeat the unknown-secret enemy, along with everything else, you see a new secret ending. Hardly anyone here is recognizable seeing how this trailer is for Kingdom Hearts III, but when you see the mask fall off one of the soldiers, his face looks none other than our Roxas. What could this mean? Could it be he plays another role? A re-encarnation? Or just another double? « backward × top × clear × refresh × forward » Echo is a fansite created and managed by Robin.
